Here we are. Here we are again, with another article about relationships. Did I see this coming? Probably…deep down I knew it was going to happen eventually. I’ve mentioned this before, but let me reiterate: I will write and have these conversations on Social Media about relationships if I truly feel like people will benefit from it. Not just for the sake of having them.I spend a lot of time on Social Media, especially TikTok (I know, what I shock, right?) and on that platform I see a lot of people having conversations, disputes and opinions about what a relationship should look like. More precisely: how you can tell if a guy is truly interested in you or if he’s just playing the field. Let me specify one thing: what I’m about to express (from my own experience, from what I’ve learned and what I’ve heard from people close to…

Let me start by clarifying a few things before we start, because I want to give the opportunity to the people who don’t have the same perspective as me, to skip this one. I usually don’t talk about relationships on my page, meaning I never do, because it’s a very personal topic, one that involves lots of nuances that I might not be able to express in one single article. First thing right off the bat is that I’ve been single for a few years, we’re talking four, five years and one of the hardest things for me to admit is that I’ve never had a long term relationship. The reason I’m disclosing this information is because I want the people with the mentality „Oh, so you didn’t have a long term relationship, so you don’t get to have an opinion” „You don’t know what’s like so you can’t say…

I woke up today and chose vulnerability. As a woman I’ve always struggled with this idea in my head of how my body should look like. For a while there I thought I was the only one. Simply because thinking about it made me feel awkward and raised some questions about how I was seeing myself that I was definitely not ready to know the answers to. So I did the „healthy thing” of course, tried to never speak about it and lied to myself that it’s all good. I realize now that from a young age I’ve always tried to look like someone else. I would read and even collect the „Bravo” or „POPCORN” magazine, you know, the classics, and see all these celebs looking perfect and of course I thought „Wouldn’t it be great if I looked like that?”. Not gonna get into this one too much, but…

„Go on TikTok”, they said. „It will be fun”, they said. And guys, let me tell you, they were not wrong. Like so many of you, when I heard about this app I rolled my eyes so hard I could go back in time. I confess that I was arrogant and quick to judge this app at first. I kept thinking „No, you’ll never see me there, that’s for kids”. And little did I know, months later, I was going to install the app. „Why?” you ask? I gotta be honest here, IG was and maybe still is my favorite app, but TikTok just makes me smile and forget about bad vibes, bad thoughts and gives me all together a great mood. I can hear some of you saying „Yeah, sure, but Roxana, once you get on TikTok you spend there hours and hours. That’s not ok”. I would have…
